I've been spending a lot of time since my last post actualizing my desire to chase after my dreams. Since my post I decided to leave my day job and pursue Internet Marketing full time. That's what I visualize. That's my focus. That's my desire.
To some, this may seem completely insane. But my belief is, doubt is is the lack of faith and the catalyst for never discovering what your true potential could be. The philosophy of always taking the safe and trusted path through life, never pushing the boundaries of your own life is tantamount to being locked in a vault with windows looking out but never allowing yourself to grow from taking the risks that you may fail. But then again, you will never know the glory of success.
Franklin Roosevelt coined the term "There's Nothing to Fear but Fear Itself". If you live in fear you will only attract more fear. To this end, your fears will be realized. Now, I'm advocating that anyone take such a radical approach as I have done but sometimes you have to burn the bridges behind you to force the forward inertia of your life into making the changes to get to the results you seek.
To grow, you need to be challenged. To aspire you need to have dreams. To truly live you must take risk. There's no room for complacency on the road to self discovery.
I've never known of a single instance where someone was at their life's journeys end wishing they had been more complacent. Life is a fleeting moment in time. Never take one moment for granted. Try to remember to live each day as if it were your last and imagine what you can do if you just take action. That first step toward a new journey.

What do you imagine will happen?
What do you imagine would happen if you chased your dreams?
Do you think that you could catch them? And what if you did?
Many people chase their secret dreams with the subconscious thought that they are just that. Dreams.
They put a half hearted effort into seeing if they could actually make one come true but when they meet any opposition they give up and go back to dreaming about it.
Making a dream come true takes courage, determination and an "I will not stop until it happens" attitude. You have to be mentally prepared for all the bumps in the road and a willingness to "go over, around or through" the obstacle with courage and steadfast determination. Progress can be slow. Sometimes it's one step forward and two steps back. But, if you keep at it, you'll find yourself taking five steps forward and one step back.
I just started a project. My Laptop Desk after many months studying Internet Marketing and although I had done web development as a profession for the largest aircraft manufacturer in the world, so much has changed with the web. I struggled greatly with getting this site even on the web. I'm still taking two steps forward and one step back but I have decided to make this project successful. One step at a time. Day by day because that's what you do to make dreams come true.
So... Where are your dreams? Take one of them, a small one, and make it come true. Start today. Make a plan. Write it down. Visualize it in detail. Pursue it. Achieve it!
Then go for another one. Best wishes for 2008.

Dealing with the Un-Imaginable
I know I addressed this in an earlier post, but this is a subject that bears revisiting.
November was coming to a close when we received a call that my loving domestic partner of 18 years, father was in failing health. She wasn't anticipating going half way across the country until mid-December to visit her parents of octogenarian age.
She was to meet her sister the next state over for the trip and fly to their destination. Tickets had been pre-purchased weeks ago and were non modifiable. Nevertheless, she rushed out the door and drove to her sisters. There was hope that the date could be modified so that they could leave the next day for the flight.
As it turned out, the airline was unable to get them a flight out the next day. Then came the call that we all dreaded. "Her father has passed away".
For quit some time we knew this day would come eventually, but nothing can prepare you for the actual event. She had never been subjected to the loss of a family member and took the news very hard. I, on the other hand, had been through this many times and had spent a considerable amount of time attempting to help her adjust to the concept of loosing a family member. This has been a point of contention between us as we share differences of opinion about death.
I had wanted to go to the funeral, as did a great number of other people, but because this was going to be a difficult journey for her and her immediate family members, I realized that she was going to have to make her own peace with this at her own pace. It was a private ceremony with only immediate family attending.
She spent the next three weeks there helping her mother prepare for a life without her lifelong partner. When she finally returned home I could see that she had adjusted very well to the tragedy. She had returned bringing her positive and joyful spirit back. She chose to focus on living, joy and happiness at a time when it would be easy to focus on the tragedy. That's how she lives. That's how she's perceived and that's what she attracts into her life.
And then last night, death, again visited. One of our feathered friends died right before our eyes. We watched helplessly as our little friend drew his last breath and than was silent. I prepared his resting place today and said farewell.
If there's a moral to this story it would be this. No matter how much we incorporate the principles I have been writing about here, there is a power infinitely greater and wiser than us and at all times in control of the universe. Whether or not one chooses to acknowledge that power does not diminish that power in the slightest. Most of us have the ability to attract and create. Most of us have the ability to manage the time we have here on earth. But there is a door that each and every living thing upon this planet will pass through at a designated time of which we know not.
How you choose to spend your time is up to you and you alone.
Until next time... Live Well

WOW... Imagine watching LOA work before your very eyes!
First off, What the heck is LOA? And what do I mean by "watching it work before my very eyes?"
Here's the long list of possible meanings of LOA:
Or you can Jump straight to the story.
LOA stands for the "Law of Attraction" in this article. It's what I have been talking about in this blog. It's the reason there hasn't been a post for awhile.
Here's how I watched the law in action. About three weeks ago the DVD player in my laptop ceased to function. Basically it broke. The front door fell off and a piece of the attach point inside holding the door on, got inside and jammed the drive.
I called the warranty department of the manufacturer of my computer (I had purchased an extended warranty. Not recommended for most things but laptops for sure) and was told that the DVD would not be covered under the warranty unless I took the computer to an authorized service center to determine whether the problem was user induced. (Which would not be covered). I explained that there were some other problems that needed to be fixed as well. Those problems, I was told, "would" be covered. My warranty was an "on-site" repair for any component defects and that they (manufacturer) would create a service ticket to have a technician come out and do the repairs (excluding the DVD). I tried to reason to them that if the repair tech was coming out anyway, he should be able to make the determination on the DVD.
I was told I have to take it to the service center for the DVD problem and I would be contacted when the tech was to come out to fix the other problems.
After speaking to the warrant dept, I called the local service center , which was in the next town away about 40 miles, and was told that they would have to keep my computer for five days before a determination could be made and it would cost me $55 just to look at it not including the cost of the repair. I told them that I had a warranty and was told that, rarely, will a warranty cover a damaged CD or DVD player. I could not be without my computer for that long and I had paid a substantial price for the warranty and was not willing to shell out more money for repairs that were supposed to be covered by the warranty. The money wasn't the issue. It was the principle. At this point it was clear that my DVD player was not going to be repaired without substantial cost and separation from my computer.
Two weeks went by and not a word from the repair tech. I went online and checked my service ticket only to find that it had been closed.
Here's where I put the LOA into work. Instead of focusing my attention on what a pain this whole warranty experience had turned out to be, I visualized my computer being fully repaired at no cost of time or money to me. I could clearly see my computer fully operational within one week from today. I felt grateful that it was fixed. I was grateful that I didn't have to make at least two 80 mile round trips to get my problem solved. I concentrated on what I wanted each day. I had no idea "how" I would achieve what I visualized. Only that I was certain that it was happening right now and everything around me was working in harmony toward ensuring that this, in fact, will to happen.
So now it's been two weeks and three days from my initial call. I, again, called the manufacturers' warranty service center. Explained that I had not had my problems repaired and my request was immediately escalated to a "level two" action. I was told that the repair tech would contact me within four hours. It was about 3pm at the time of the call.
At 7:15 pm, I received a call from a local repair tech stating that the parts to repair my computer would be in by tomorrow morning and that he will contact me when he has the parts to come out and perform the repair.
The next day, around 10:30am he called me and by 12:20pm he was knocking on my door. He
was tall and burly in stature with shoulder length wavy brown hair tied back. He reminded me of Chef Mario Batali with more and darker hair. Did I mention he was tall and burley? Not what expected for a computer tech. He told me that he was going to replace the motherboard, cooling fans and the heatsink. All I requested was that a noisy fan be fixed and that I was having static build-up and discharge problems. He sat down at my dining room table and began to perform the delicate task of deconstructing my computer.
I began to get apprehensive watching him turn my precious laptop into a pile of parts, knowing that there were thousands of dollars worth of software on my machine.
Then I turned my focus back to the visualization I had created. My computer will be fully and completely repaired at no cost of time or money to me. I watched as he removed everything right down to the motherboard. This is where the impossible became possible.
We had struck up a conversation during the repair and I told him of the problem I was having with my DVD player. As he went to disconnect the speakers from the motherboard, he told me that the connectors for the speakers had broken off in the motherboard and that I would need to get new speakers. He got on the phone with his manager and told him of the problem. His manager said that the whole top of the computer needed to be replaced with an upgraded top. The tech also told his manager that the DVD was dead. So his manager ordered a new top cover, new speakers and a new DVD! The tech reassembled my computer (less the speakers) and said that the parts should be here tomorrow.
The next day I called the tech and he said that everything was here except the DVD which will be in later today. I asked him to call me when he had all the parts and we could set up a time for him to install them. By the next day all the parts were in and the tech called me and told me that he would be here within an hour. He was, and my computer was repaired and fully operational at little cost of time and no financial cost in four days from the time I had placed the second call.
I now have a new motherboard, new speakers, new fans, new heatsink, new DVD drive and a new top case. WOW. The next time you think that something is impossible, visualize it as you want it to be, in detail, believe that it will happen and be grateful that it's coming to you. You too can put this power to work in your life. Try It....

Imagine this... Food for Thought
Have you ever asked yourself, "How did I get in this position?" "Did I miss something along the way? "
In my never ending search to understand myself, the impact I have on the lives around me and how to achieve harmony in my life, I decided to rent the movie "THE SECRET", having previously watched the the movie trailer. After watching this enlightening movie, I came away with a deeper understanding about a fundamental truth. We are what we think. Good or bad, rich or poor, healthy or not, loved or forsaken, happy or angry, whatever we think and believe is our truth and that that truth will manifest itself in our daily life. Most of us have the ability to choose how we feel. Whether you choose to exercise your ability to control your feelings is up to you. It's those choices that influence the course of events that follow. Be careful what you dwell on because it will come to pass if it invokes intense desire within you. Be it what you desire or what you fear.
I have included the following video of the first twenty minutes of "The Secret" for your viewing pleasure. The movie is well worth watching. Enjoy...

I couldn't imagine this...
It's been a while since my last post so I thought I'd better post an update.
Last Saturday my father-in-law passed on. He was 89 and lived a long life here on earth.
I couldn't have imagined this would be his last year. We are all here for a short time and then we must move on. I spent some time contemplating where his life had taken him. He and his wife of over 60 years lived a simple uncomplicated life. He had planned for his financial future long before it was a popular notion. They had all the money they needed to continue their lives long after retirement until their final days. He lived life on his own terms. That was his plan. That's what he imagined. That's how he lived.
So how do you imagine that your life should be?
Are you living the life you imagined? If not, what is holding you back? Do you tell yourself and others around you in some form that you do not deserve the life you imagine through your thoughts, actions or non-actions?
I spoke earlier of how powerful your imagination is, and when combined with a detailed specific visualization of exactly what you want, you start attracting that toward you. But, you must believe that it is happening right now! You must not futurize your visualization by thinking that it will happen someday. By believing that the thing you are visualizing is happening right now, even though there is no apparent physical manifestation yet, you energize the "law of attraction" to deliver that to you.
Here's something to think about: Do you think that you are there, on the other side of this screen, looking at what has been written here is an accident? You attracted this to you. Just for you. What's even more profound, is that the very words that are being presented before you, are a manifestation of your thoughts and desires to bring forth a new reality in your life.
Your new reality will be one of Joy, Prosperity, Peace and Abundance if you allow yourself to receive it. Henry Ford stated, "Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you're right either way". Whether you can imagine a new reality for yourself or whether you think you can't, you're right either way. It's your choice.
You can't change the past, but you can change the future by your thoughts and actions today. Change the way you think today, and you will alter the events of the future.

You're imagining things...
Have you ever been kicking-it-back, lost in thought... daydreaming... about someplace you'd like to go, something you'd like to accomplish, a friend you'd like to see?
Did merely asking that question invoke those thoughts?
Did you act on those thoughts and actually do the thing you were thinking of?
If your like most people, you spend a good amount of time in that state of mind. Some would call this daydreaming. This state of consciousness is an incredibly powerful mental place to be. It is where the beginnings of visualization take place. When practiced on a daily basis, focusing on very specific topics, some would call this meditation. You're free to call it what you like.
It is, however, in this state of mind that you begin the attraction process. Your thoughts are the keys, if you will, to starting the universal engine of attraction.
Think of it this way. Most cars won't start without having a key. Once you insert the key into the ignition and start the engine, your car has the potential of taking you anywhere your time and resources will allow you to go.
Your imagination has the power to alter your future, draw on the knowledge and experiences of the past, create things you've never thought of creating and gives you the ability to be grateful for all you've accomplished.
Speaking about gratitude, when is the last time you felt a deep sense of gratitude for what you have?
Think about that for a moment won't you... We are surrounded and immersed in a media rich world that is continuously bombarding us with sales pitches about "What we need" to make us happy, a new car, bigger better home, more money, that tropical vacation and on ... and on...
If you really want to feel real happiness in your life, start by practicing the visualization of true gratitude for what you have. Here's an example: Think about a time when someone did something for you that made you feel extremely grateful for their act of kindness or generosity.
Now, the next time you have a daydreaming moment, apply those same feelings of gratitude toward... well, look around you... pick at least seven things. Don't forget about these overlooked things. If you can see, if you can hear, if you can taste, if you can smell and if you feel touch.
I personally have known in my life, at least one person each missing one or more of the previous five taken for granted senses, and each of those people were extremely grateful for having the the rest.
So the next time some tells you you're imagining things, your reply might be, "Yes I am... isn't it great!"
