My Poor Neglected Blog

I've been spending a lot of time since my last post actualizing my desire to chase after my dreams. Since my post I decided to leave my day job and pursue Internet Marketing full time. That's what I visualize. That's my focus. That's my desire.

To some, this may seem completely insane. But my belief is, doubt is is the lack of faith and the catalyst for never discovering what your true potential could be. The philosophy of always taking the safe and trusted path through life, never pushing the boundaries of your own life is tantamount to being locked in a vault with windows looking out but never allowing yourself to grow from taking the risks that you may fail. But then again, you will never know the glory of success.

Franklin Roosevelt coined the term "There's Nothing to Fear but Fear Itself". If you live in fear you will only attract more fear. To this end, your fears will be realized. Now, I'm advocating that anyone take such a radical approach as I have done but sometimes you have to burn the bridges behind you to force the forward inertia of your life into making the changes to get to the results you seek.

To grow, you need to be challenged. To aspire you need to have dreams. To truly live you must take risk. There's no room for complacency on the road to self discovery.

I've never known of a single instance where someone was at their life's journeys end wishing they had been more complacent. Life is a fleeting moment in time. Never take one moment for granted. Try to remember to live each day as if it were your last and imagine what you can do if you just take action. That first step toward a new journey.

Here's some things I have been working on:

What do you imagine will happen?

What do you imagine would happen if you chased your dreams?

Do you think that you could catch them? And what if you did?

Many people chase their secret dreams with the subconscious thought that they are just that. Dreams.

They put a half hearted effort into seeing if they could actually make one come true but when they meet any opposition they give up and go back to dreaming about it.

Making a dream come true takes courage, determination and an "I will not stop until it happens" attitude. You have to be mentally prepared for all the bumps in the road and a willingness to "go over, around or through" the obstacle with courage and steadfast determination. Progress can be slow. Sometimes it's one step forward and two steps back. But, if you keep at it, you'll find yourself taking five steps forward and one step back.

I just started a project. My Laptop Desk after many months studying Internet Marketing and although I had done web development as a profession for the largest aircraft manufacturer in the world, so much has changed with the web. I struggled greatly with getting this site even on the web. I'm still taking two steps forward and one step back but I have decided to make this project successful. One step at a time. Day by day because that's what you do to make dreams come true.

So... Where are your dreams? Take one of them, a small one, and make it come true. Start today. Make a plan. Write it down. Visualize it in detail. Pursue it. Achieve it!

Then go for another one. Best wishes for 2008.
